Kings Place wins Conference Venue of the Year!

We are very excited to announce that Kings Place has been named as the Best Conference Venue (300-750) at the Conference Awards!

It’s the first time that we’ve entered the award and are delighted that our hard-work as well as the fantastic events our clients have held with us during the last year has been recognised by the judging panel.

The competition was tough and Kings Place was crowned the winner among a shortlist of seven other conference venues: Olympia London, Emirates Stadium, CEME Conference Centre, Epsom Downs Racecourse, London Heathrow Marriott, The Crystal, Whittlebury Hall.

The judges commented on the location of the venue, technology and CSR credentials as well as innovative catering solutions, a focus on customer service and a proactive strategy. We don’t like to boast, but a selection of the judges’ comments are below:

The Conference Awards are organised annually by the Global Conference Network and celebrate the best of the Conference industry, with other categories including, ‘Conference Professional of the Year’, ‘Best Conference Series’ and ‘Best UK Conference of the Year’.

Kings Place Events wins C21 Media’s flagship event, Content London

Three day event with 1500 expected delegates

Content London has announced it is to move to Kings Place for the 2017 event taking place from 27th-29th November. King’s Cross based venue Kings Place was selected due to its reputation as one of London’s most progressive venues, and its flexible mix of spaces that could fulfil the various elements of Content London’s event.

The event aims to attract 1500 attendees across the three day event and will be utilising all the spaces in Kings Place, including the 400-seater Hall One auditorium and canal-side Battlebridge Room with private terrace.

C21 Media who organise the event, cited the multi-dimensional opportunities of Kings Place as a key reason for selecting the venue, as the range of versatile spaces reflect the many elements of the event, from screenings, networking, workshops and an educational conference.

Previous host venues include BAFTA, BFI and Picturehouse Central. 2017 marks the first year that Content London will be hosted in a venue outside of the film industry as well as moving away from the West End and South Bank.

With up to 1500 international executives expected at Content London 2017, The International Drama Summit has become the most significant gathering of the global drama business, supported by significant presence from the kids, future media and factual entertainment communities.

Summer staff briefing offer

Our new package has been designed to help you get the most out of a few precious hours with your team or company by combining a great value room hire package with a well needed beer and burger at the end of the day.  The package is available to events taking place in late July and the whole of August.

Our stunning purpose built conference venues all come complete with AV inclusions and technical support and can accommodate up to 400 delegates.  The conference spaces are available to hire from 1pm until 5.30pm, with one of our stunning, our waterside spaces are perfect for a drink and bite to eat to end the day.

The package includes:

  • Conference space from 1pm to 5.30pm
  • Tech inclusions (subject to conference space)
  • Burger & drink (vegetarian option available, drink choice of beer, wine or soft drink)

Our summer party packages include a choice of two BBQ menus, featuring meat from our very own farm in Northumberland as well as unlimited wine and beer for three and a half hours.

Kings Place achieves the highest BREEAM operational sustainability rating for property management ever

We are delighted to announce that Kings Place has achieved a BREEAM in-use rating of outstanding (95%) for management, the highest BREEAM operational sustainability rating for property management ever accomplished in the UK. Kings Place is one of only two buildings to achieve an outstanding rating for Management in the UK, and one of only 56 globally.

Both Kings Place Events and Green & Fortune are incredibly proud of being a fundamental part of the day to day running of Kings Place, whether it’s running a conference for 400 delegates in Hall One as apart of Kings Place Events or serving a cup of coffee to customers who work in the building through the Green & Fortune Cafe. We are committed to our CSR credentials, and this rating is another of the many reasons why Kings Place is the perfect solution for any client looking to host an event with sustainability in mind.

Protecting the environment is key to us, we avoid working with anyone who purchase or supply produce or services that have been created using processes known to damage the environment. Suppliers must be prepared to work with us on reducing the impact we have on the environment and offering up solutions on how this can be achieved. Holding an event with Kings Place Events means that clients are also supporting the Kings Place Music Foundation which is a registered charity funded entirely by revenue generated through event hire and ticket sales. The recent sustainability rating for the building strengthens our position as an events venue which can help to CSR proof your event.

We work closely with Savills who oversee the management of Kings Place to ensure our CSR values are aligned. As key operators who are an integral component of the Kings Place offering we work together to build our operations around a solid sustainability ethos.
