What can we learn from COVID-19

Join this free virtual event discussing the key lessons that the pandemic can teach us.

The line-up of over 20 speakers includes a closing talk by former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair.

We hope you are all well and keeping busy during these strange and uncertain times. During the venue closure, as well as developing our own plans to operate in line with social distancing, responding to enquiries and hosting virtual site visits, some of the team have also been lending support to one of our longest standing clients.

The annual Risky Business conference has been held at Kings Place for 10 years and we are proud to be partnering with them for this year’s virtual conference on 2nd June.

In collaboration with The BMJ and Great Ormond Street Hospital and supported by Medical Protection Society the event is leading the way in supporting an effort to identity some key leanings from the COVID-19 pandemic for us all.

The topics covered will create some interesting discussion and insights, encouraging us to look at how COVID-19 has changed not just the medical world, but the bigger picture and its impact on people, our use of technology, the need to diversify and how we can work together.

Each session will cover one of the four themes below, be succinct and kept to seven minutes only.

The Science – Virus – Vaccine – Trials – Modelling – Public Health

The Technology –  Zoom – Tracing Apps – Hacking – F1 to Ventilators

The Medicine – ICU – GP – Ethics – Paediatric Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome

The People – Wellbeing Centre – Wingman Project – BAME increased risk

We hope you can join us on Zoom for these engaging sessions and hosted by the BBC’s Charlie Stayt and Katie Derham.
