Battlebridge Room refurbishment proves successful with increased usage
Just over a year ago, our popular canalside event space, the Battlebridge Room was transformed with a refurbishment to mark the 10 year anniversary of Kings Place.
One year on, the numbers speak for themselves as the event space reports an increase of 33% in sales when comparing 2018 to 2019. This increase is reflected across a number of event types and clients, from stand-alone events to the room being used as part of a larger event or as a post-conference reception venue.
The refurbishment succeeded in making the space more appealing for evening events, as less now needs to be done to dress the room. December 2019 will also see the Battlebridge Room host more Christmas parties than ever before, also demonstrating how the refurbishment has helped to create an increase in evening events.
Key features of the refurbishment included the relocation of a new eye-catching bar with copper fret cut metal panelling and a reconstituted stone grey marble look bar top. This copper fret cut metal was mirrored in wall panels and pillar surrounds. The pillars now also incorporate LED lighting which can be programmed into a variety of colours and settings to match brand colours or the style of a particular event, two 75” screens were also added to the feature walls. A section of carpet was also removed and replaced with timber flooring which makes for a great dance floor, eliminating the need for a dance-floor to be brought in.
The Battlebridge Room can host up to 400 guests for a reception or 180 for a seated dinner, it’s also a great location for summer parties with BBQs on the terrace or all-inclusive Christmas parties. Get in touch with the team to find out more.
