Sustainably driven events
In collaboration with the Kings Place property management team, we are proud to contribute to one of London’s most sustainable event venues. Recent 2024 achievements include:
- 100% of waste diverted from landfill (62% via anaerobic digestion)
- 8.4% reduction in electricity use (YOY)
- 21.6% reduction in gas usage (YOY)
- 16% reduction in carbon emissions compared to Q1 2023
- Maintains BREEAM In-Use Outstanding rating
Every event hosted at Kings Place supports the Kings Place Music Foundation, a charity enabling access to music and the arts, particularly for underrepresented communities. Hosting an event at Kings Place directly contributes to funding KPMF. The charity receives no government funding and relies on revenues generated from corporate event sales.
Sustainable Events Catering
Our catering partners Green & Fortune are a certified B Corp hospitality company, formally recognising our long standing commitment to operating a values first hospitality business that balances sustainable growth with positive social and environmental impact. Sustainability isn’t a side dish, our chefs have a strong focus on gut-health, ethical sourcing and seasonality when creating our menus.
Ethical sourcing and supporting local suppliers are fundamental to our operations. We carefully select suppliers, prioritising those within the M25 and ensuring alignment with our sustainability vision. For example all our coffee comes from Old Spike Roastery and they reinvest 65% of their profits into social programmes to help the homeless. For goods sourced from afar, we partner with companies with high corporate social governance accreditations and collect ESG data for new suppliers and products.
Menus that Reflect Our Values
Our menus are more than just delicious; they’re a reflection of our values. We champion seasonal ingredients, reduce food waste, and source ethically, so every dish tells a story of mindful dining.
Our Food for Thought menus celebrate low-carbon, seasonal produce, with clever touches that give a second life to ingredients that might otherwise be lost. Our Chef’s Choice menus are crafted to encourage wider take-up, reducing waste while making the very best of what the season offers.
We believe in honest conversations about sustainability. Sometimes a vegan menu isn’t the most sustainable choice and often, truly sustainable sourcing comes at a higher cost. Our role is to guide our clients towards the most impactful choices.
Our bars take the same creative approach, turning what others might throw away into the highlights of our drinks list. You’ll find cocktails and mocktails that are as inventive as they are eco-conscious. One example of this is banana syrup & chips; any overripe bananas become a rich syrup for tropical serves, while their pulp is dehydrated into crunchy banana chips for our signature rum punch.
